‘Glee’ star Lea Michele sang in an intimate cabaret show that supported Cyndi Lauper‘s organization, ‘True Colors’ and ‘Broadway Impacts,’ a group that pushes for gay marriage. The impossibly adorable and sincere singer spoke with PopEater about the event and what’s next for her ‘Glee‘ character.

Why did you do this event?
The minute I got asked to do it I jumped on the opportunity because even though I get to sing on ‘Glee’ a lot it’s not as much as if I was doing 8 shows a week on Broadway. I think it’s a fantastic organization and I’m a huge fan of Cyndi Lauper’s.

“Glee” is shining in the nomination list released by Satellite Awards for its 14th year. The new musical by FOX makes the entry in every TV category possible through the show itself as well as the actors. The nominees were selected through voting by International Press Academy’s members which included more than 100 entertainment journalists.
Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer, Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison represent the show for the categories of Supporting Actress, Supporting Actor, Lead Actress and Lead Actor in Comedy or Musical respectively. The show itself is being put under Television Series, Comedy or Musical.

Spring Awakening‘s Jonathan Groff and Lea Michele reunite for the True Colors Cabaret Nov. 29 at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency.

The concerts are a co-presentation between Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors Fund and Broadway Impact, which was co-founded by Gavin Creel. The True Colors Cabaret began Sept. 28.

Tony nominee Groff (Spring Awakening, Singing Forest) and Michele (Spring Awakening, “Glee”) are joined by Grammy-winner Cyndi Lauper for the 8 PM and 10:30 PM concerts.

Additional concerts will feature singer-songwriter Jason Mraz and the Broadway Inspirational Voices on Dec. 21 at 8 PM and 10:30 PM.

In addition to her work on Fox’s “Glee” and the Broadway production of Spring Awakening, Michele has also appeared in the Broadway productions of Les Miserables, Ragtime and Fiddler on the Roof. Her additional stage appearances include Alive in the World and Diary of Anne Frank.
