At this rate, Lea Michele will soon have a résumé to rival that of Rachel Berry, the overachieving student and aspiring theater star she plays on “Glee.” The latest addition to the to-do list of Ms. Michele, a star of the Fox musical comedy-drama, is a book that she will write for the Harmony Books imprint of Random House’s Crown Publishing Group, the publisher said Thursday.
Ms. Michele’s book, titled “Brunette Ambition” and planned for publication next spring, is described in a news release as a “part memoir, part how-to and part style-guide” that chronicles its author “from normal Bronx-born schoolgirl to Broadway child star to lead actress in one of the most popular shows on television.” The release said the book would offer a “behind-the-scenes perspective” from Ms. Michele, who has also appeared on Broadway in “Spring Awakening,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Ragtime” and “Les Misérables,” as well as her “practical advice and lessons” for young women who hope to follow in her footsteps.
Ms. Michele said in a statement: “There wasn’t a guidebook when I was growing up, that detailed everything I would need to do, and know, to get where I am today. But I believe I can write one of sorts: not a how-to-make-it-in-show-business book, but a guide to harnessing tenacity, passion, enthusiasm, and hard work to make your dreams come true.”
The Teen Choice awards just opened voting for their 2013 awards, Lea Michele was nominated in the Actress Comedy category. Chris Colfer and Glee were also nominated.

The awards show will air live on Aug. 11 on Fox.
TVLine recently posted a list containing what are thought to be the twenty-five best performances of Glee’s fourth season. Lea Michele’s character Rachel Berry took the top title with her jaw dropping solo piece, ‘Being Good Isn’t Good Enough’.
Although Rachel was not in every episode of this year, it’s clear that that hasn’t stopped her from conquering multiple musical numbers on the top 25. Many of her other solos appeared on the list, such as her rendition of ‘O Holy Night’ and Celine Dion’s ‘To Love You More’.
Also on the list were some of Lea’s group numbers and duets, including ‘Bring Him Home’, ‘New York State of Mind’, a mash-up including ‘The Way You Look Tonight/Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile’, ‘Creep’, ‘At the Ballet’, ‘We’ve Got Tonight’, ‘The Scientist’, and the redoing of the show’s most classic song, ‘Don’t Stop Believin’.

Fox has enlisted some familiar faces to host and perform at Monday’s inaugural “FanFront” event.
The event, created as a way to incorporate fans into the annual upfront week of network presentations to Madison Avenue ad buyers, is an attempt to help the network break through the clutter and expose new programming early in an effort to get a jumpstart on building buzz that could make or break a show come the crowed fall schedule.
Those admitted to the Monday, May 13, New York event will see stars from the network’s yet-to-be-announced new shows as well as returning hits The Following, New Girl, The X Factor, The Mindy Project, Bones, Glee, Raising Hope and American Idol.

The Glee girl’s all grown up and has upped her style game in the process.
Lea Michele’s Glee character Rachel Berry may live in a hip Brooklyn loft, but in real life the actress dwells across the country in a comfy West Hollywood bungalow.
Recently the star opened her California pad for a style makeover with interior designer pal, Estee Stanley. Stanley, who is also the editor-at-large for Domain (a sister site to WhoWhatWear) shared the chic results as part of the new website’s launch on Monday.
Besides wanting a cozy vibe, Lea had only one request for her redesign: not to fiddle with her collection of Barbra Streisand photos—the actress has famously gushed that Babs is her idol.
So, where does the actress keep her other prized posessions? Her trophies, which include a SAG and People’s Choice Awards, sit case-free on her feminine writing desk, which she calls her “Bradshaw.”
